Laser Marking

LM Model Highlights:

For years solid-state lasers have replaced traditional laser systems in laser marking applications. Now the LM series high power fiber laser marking systems bring the ultimate in solid state reliability and operating convenience to marking applications.

Numberall’s Fiber Laser Marking Systems are a great leap forward in marking technology. Our fiber lasers are a better fit into your applications in comparison with conventional Nd:YAG and Nd:YVO4 marking systems due to:

  • Over five (5) times the life expectancy—up to 100,000 hours.
  • Mark on any metal, most plastics, and other substrates.
  • Text, 1 & 2 dimensional bar codes, and true grayscale graphics marking.
  • Standard wall plug operation and high electrical efficiency.
  • No water cooling or TE cooling—eliminating failure points.
  • Extended temperature range for extreme environments.
  • PC-based with intuitive pop-up help features and built-in templates.
  • High quality focusable beam (TEMoo).
  • High repetition rate.
  • Optimized pulse duration.
  • Exceptionally high reliability.
  • Maintenance-free operation.

Pulsed Fiber Technology

  • Same Wavelength as Nd:YAG & Nd:YVO4.
  • More robust laser source.
  • Stable full power range.

LM Product Design

  • System choices.
  • Built for industrial use.
  • Simple to use.

The LM Series Benefits

  • Places individual diodes on a thermal plate allowing accurate diode temperature control greatly lengthening laser life (50,000 - 100,000 Hours Minimum). Stacked array diode sources (DPSS YAG & YV04) have different temperatures for internal and external diodes greatly shortening laser life (10,000 Hours Max).
  • Pulsed fiber lasers utilize a doped fiber technology to create the 1064 nm wavelength, eliminating troublesome optical components.

Pulsed Fiber Robustness

  • IPG pulsed fiber lasers are designed to survive in environments unsuitable for DPSS YAG & YVO4.
  • Completely sealed from external air and debris. Extended heat/humidity operation standard, 45C @ 95% humidity vs. 35C - 40C @ 35% humidity for YAG & YVO4.
  • No resonating cavity means: No optic component alignment issues in vibration-prone or mobile installations.

Stable Scaleable Power

  • Pulsed fiber lasers power output is rated in average power at your part not continuous wave at the resonator-like YAG or YVO4 systems. If we compare equivalent pumping power, our 10W system produces comparable output to a 18W—20W YAG or YVO4 and our 20W system is comparable to a 45W—50W YAG or YVO4.
  • Pulsed fiber lasers offer 90% useable power range (10%-100%) compared to approximately 30% usable power range (70%-100%) associated with YAG & YVO4 systems
  • Power output from pulsed fiber lasers is linearly scaleable, 50% power on a 20W system equals 10W of power at your part.
  • Superior temperature control translates to extremely stable power output over the full life of the laser. Laser output of diode arrays can vary with temperature.

Industrial Design

  • We package the laser source in a sealed NEMA enclosure.
  • Our systems are modularly designed for quick component change out at your facility including replacing the laser source if necessary in less than an hour.
  • Airflow is completely segregated from any electronic components, which means no filters to change!

User-Friendly

  • We write our software with a heavy emphasis on operator ease.
  • Standard Windows(tm) user interface and buttons make learning easier.
  • Drag & Drop or Cartesian GUIs selectable by user preference.
  • All standard marking functions including: alpha numeric (linear & elliptical), bar-codes, data matrix, UID and graphics.
  • All laser parameters are saved with each marking object with numerous objects possible per mark. Part change over is as easy as clicking on the next job to be marked.

Integrability

  • Our systems were designed to be integrated by anyone—us, you, or your preferred integrator.
  • Our software allows the integrator to designate values and voltages for inputs and outputs.
  • Our software staff can integrate to your database.
  • Our integration group can design and build custom integration from
