The Model 40B can be used for part identification, and stamping a variety of tags or flat parts. Due to the Model 40B's simple, quiet, manual operation, it can used in an office environment. Weighing only 40 pounds, it is portable enough so that it can be used anywhere.
To operate, simply rotate the 42 character dial to the desired character. Pull the operating handle and release; the tag is thereby stamped and the carriage table has moved to the next character. After reaching the end of a line, the carriage can be returned quickly to the starting point. Spacing is accomplished by a half stroke of the operating lever.
An adjustable positive depth stop ensures consistent marking depth.
No experience is necessary to operate this press. After a few minutes of practice, any operator can produce neat and even work.
Numberall's character dials are crafted from high grade tool steel and precision heat treated for severe usage and long life. Character dials are meticulously engraved for accuracy, strength, and alignment. This high quality engraving allows for a clear cut impression of uniform depth. Character dials have an adjustable tension block for operator convenience. The dial's turning knob is plastic coated for comfort. Character dials can be specially engraved, as needed.
The table moves up towards the dial via a heavy-duty rack and pinion drive.
The Model 40B frame is constructed of a rigid, heavy-duty cast iron “C” type. All of the 40B's components are machined, no die cast parts.
Specifications are for standard parts only. A wider table and rack can be furnished, upon request.
Note: Different character size dials are interchangeable, but each size character requires a different size rack.
