At Numberall Stamp & Tool Co., we stand behind our products. Our equipment will inevitably become worn from regular use and need maintenance, so we gladly supply parts and service the products we sell, such as Numberall marking devices.
Even if you’ve had your machine for years, we can repair it so that it will continue to serve you well. Some of our clients choose to service their machines on their own. We recently ran into a numbering head returned by a customer that was highly modified, welded and screwed together. Below you can see a photo of the modified numbering head (right) with a new numbering head (left).
This modified numbering head is a 1996 Model 70H, and after discussing the options with our customer, it became clear that purchasing a new piece of equipment would be less costly than repairing their version. They now have a new Model 70H in hand, but left us with this – an example of what you shouldn’t do to your equipment if it’s in need of servicing.
As you may be able to see, our customer put bolts from the front to the back to hold on the pawl block. They also pounded down the shank and welded a top to the striking area. Even though this highly modified piece had a lot of imperfections, it was still working when they returned it. The character alignment was slightly off, but it met their inspection, which was most important to them at the time.
Numberall’s products are made for a lifetime of service. We have repaired and maintained marking devices that were produced as far back as the 1940s. In addition, some customers have implemented a Preventative Maintenance schedule with our help. They buy consumable parts on a regular schedule to ensure their Numberall marking device is always functional. These customers are running high volume production and do regular PM’s on their equipment to ensure no downtime. We can help you implement a Preventive Maintenance Program for your marking equipment as well.
If you’re not sure about the kind of service you need, we can help. You can send in your Numberall marking devices for repair quotes. We will inspect and provide a firm quote, and we won’t proceed without your authorization.
Whether your Numberall machine needs to be repaired or just needs regular maintenance, Numberall can help. Contact us for more information.
